Ambassador Intentions for the New Year
We asked a handful of our athletes to answer some questions about their plans for this year.
Welcome to 2022!
We asked a handful of our athletes to answer some questions about their plans this year. We tried to trip them up (figuratively speaking), but they don't miss a beat

- What are you most looking forward to through the winter season?
- When will you dive hardcore back into training, or does it never stop?
- How do you want to shift your focus in 2022?
- What do you do to reset?
- What are you most excited about in 2022?
- What are your favorite training products?
I’m looking forward to spending time with family and having great meals! My race season won’t start until March, so I plan to take advantage of the down time and catch up with friends.
I took a few weeks off after my last race, and now I am slowly starting to build a base (more volume, less intensity). I expect my coach to gradually add more intense workouts back into my training around mid-January.
I want to focus more on having fun. For me, that means racing with friends and choosing races in great locations.
I always take a few weeks off from training in December. I know I’ve successful reset when I start to miss the hard workouts and look forward to racing again.
2022 will be my first full season racing as a pro. I’m excited to push my limits and race against the best athletes in the world. I know it will make me a better athlete.
My Saris H3 smart trainer tops the list. Nothing beats the convenience of being able to ride indoors during the winter.

- One thing I did in 2021 that I will not do again in 2022: is drink chocolate milk and malort as handouts in the same CX race!
- One thing that I have never done that I am going to do in 2022: Ride a century!
- One thing that I did in 2021 that I can’t wait to do again in 2022: race gravel! I did my first race at Unbound 2021 and can't wait to go back for more!

Sleep as much as I did in 2021.
Line up on a start line fit and not pregnant. :)
Raise a baby boy. Growing up in a household of 4 women, and now with a daughter, a boy will be a completely new avenue.

Clean the basement as if a bomb had gone off in there.
Pick and choose events with a refreshing emphasis on NEW events to me, although still with plenty of tried and true standards that I’ve done before.
Raise a son and begin life as a family of four!
